Sustaining Student Engagement During School Closures
Insight Policy Research and the American Institutes for Research published a brief in July 2020 related to improving student engagement and attendance during the COVID-19 pandemic. The document highlights six lessons learned during the early stages of districts' digital learning strategies. The authors reviewed the research literature and interviewed administrators from six geographically and demographically diverse LEAs. The document closes with four approaches to remote learning and four themes that emerged when interviewing district leaders.
